These are some cool new ads for Alexander Wang's Spring collections. The top ad from his main line and bottom from his line of T-shirts, meant to be posted all over New York and L.A. like underground posters. There is no doubt that Alex is so cool and youthful, fresh full of ideas. I actually got to meet him one day at a Barney's trunk show. He stood there poised, glaring at me as i hyperventilated and grasped onto my Alexander wang skinnys. Meeting a designer is like meeting a rock star to me. Anyway, the spring collection is very sporty and urban as usual. Inspired by his days at boarding school and varsity football. Which is a very interesting turn. Ad campaigns are very nice and the clothes are a refreshing stretch from the usual smokey nightclub dresses.
These are some of my favorite looks from Alexander's Spring 2010 runway. I love the corset sweatshirts and olive coats. The sexy white jersey dresses were inspired by the cut of men's underwear and some clutches even resembled deflated footballs (Cheesy, but cute.)
I love, and want to steal, the sweatshirt jacket with the applique "A" and zipper. I would wear it everywhere and look like a i had a jacket personalized with my initial. Wow, pretty classy, i know.
This collections, as always, is very street and wearable. The clothes within the show guaranteed to be seen on cool girls downtown or on some no-doubt diva at a concert or club. Sporty, cool, totally sexy, take some Alex Wang confidence with you this weekend wherever you go.
